Butterfly Palliative Care Centre

Palliative Care Unit

The Butterfly Palliative Home is a foster care home in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa providing end-of-life care to babies and toddlers with severe disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

The CoCo’s Foundation has partnered with the Home as it always needs on-site volunteers (both medical and non-medical) to help with its everyday activities.

Medical volunteers

The Home is in great need of:

Home-based care workers

We also need volunteers to:

Accommodation

Volunteers have free accommodation in a rustic four bedroom ‘volunteer house’ which is self-catering.

There is a warm welcome to anyone who would like to lend a helping hand as a volunteer. If possible, we prefer that volunteers commit to at least two weeks or more since each visit involves a lot of time and admin. But please pop us a message if you are interested and we can have a chat!
