Volunteer to help children in South Africa
Our Build4TheFuture programme focuses on providing homes and shelter for child-headed families in the KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa during a 17-day trip.
An urgent need
What do we mean by ‘child-headed family’? These are families where orphans live on their own, lacking the love, guidance and support of parents.
In this region, there are an estimated 9,000 to 15,000 orphans. Many have lost their parents to AIDS or related illnesses, and more recently, their grandparents to COVID-19. For safety, these children often live in groups – it’s not unusual to find 20 children living in a single house.
Be the change
Here’s where you can truly make a difference. Over the past 14 years, we’ve brought hundreds of volunteers to build 80 homes for over 400 orphans.
If you’ve ever dreamed of helping children in a poverty-stricken country, now is the time to act. Our volunteers say that working with the Foundation is a life-changing experience.
Your trip includes international and domestic flights, food, minibus hire, bed and breakfast accommodations, a safari and a £600 donation to CoCo’s Foundation which goes directly towards building a home for a child-headed family.
Message us below to learn how you can change not only your own life but also the lives of others by volunteering with CoCo’s Foundation.
